Ringgold How to Buy a Diamond And The 4 Biggest Mistakes When Buying a Diamond

Just how are ruby cut qualities assigned?

This is where points start to obtain made complex. The approaches used to quantitatively evaluate the high quality of a cut vary. The way the GIA determines just what a ruby's cut grade must be, for instance, differs in really details means from the method other certifiers like the AGS do it. In most instances, these organizations do not divulge the specific information of the processes they utilize.

The form of a ruby also makes a difference with regard to how its cut quality is figured out. Although there are some fundamental criteria that continue to be the very same for any kind of type of ruby, the precise methods utilized to grade a round diamond's cut are different from those utilized to grade a heart-shaped ruby's cut.

The rest of this explanation will certainly focus on round rubies, as this is without a doubt one of the most usual diamond form. One of the elements affecting the cut quality of a rounded ruby is the number of aspects it has. Elements are the flat, defined locations on the surface area of a ruby. The aspects on round rubies are usually triangular. Presently, it's assumed that the excellent round diamond must have 33 elements on the crown (the section of the diamond that sits over the band, which itself is the widest point of the ruby) and 25 on the pavilion (the lower, much longer area of the ruby). When there are flaws on the surface of the ruby, cutters may include additional elements in order to obscure them. This causes a deterioration in the total high quality of the cut.

While the element count is typically agreed after as a good way of judging the high quality of a ruby cut, there are various other factors on which gemologists often disagree. A few of the other elements used by some authorities to help figure out cut qualities consist of the height of the ruby's crown, the depth of the pavilion, the diameter of the table (the top of the crown), and also the angles of the crown and pavilion.

The American Requirement benchmark for rounded rubies requires a crown height of 16.2%, pavilion depth of 43.1%, and also table size of 53% of the complete band diameter. The Perfect Great standard, nevertheless, asks for 19.2% crown elevation, 40% structure depth, and 56.5% table size. While these differences may be tough for amateurs to discern, they are a great illustration of the troubles linked with developing a basic evaluation of a diamond's cut.

Although there are some differences about the precise proportions that constitute the perfect diamond cut, for potential ruby purchasers, the most crucial thing to comprehend is that diamond certifications offered by organizations like the AGS and also GIA are reliable and also purposeful. Reputable ruby suppliers base the prices at which they buy and also offer rubies on the cut in addition to the remainder of the "four Cs." When you buy a diamond, you do not need to stress over the perception of what makes a great diamond cut transforming so a lot that the value of your diamond will certainly be dramatically impacted.

Which diamond cut quality stands for the most effective value?

Which sort of diamond is best for you mostly depends upon your budget plan. For customers who want to buy them, suppliers usually recommend rubies with the greatest feasible cut grades. However, this may be due to some self-interest on their component.

The other 3 Cs have an influence on ruby costs as well, so it could be challenging to evaluate the specific distinction in rate between an Ideal or Superb cut ruby as well as a Very Great cut. For laid-back purchasers and budget-conscious capitalists alike, rubies with a Great or Excellent cut quality can represent an exceptional worth. This is because, while they could be more affordable than or else equivalent Ideal or Superb cut diamonds, the visible distinction in quality is marginal.

At the exact same time, do not hesitate to utilize your discernment. If, for example, you stumble upon a diamond with a Perfect cut ranking which has excellent scores in the other classifications as well as is still within your budget, after that you should certainly consider it, as long as you're taking care of a reliable supplier.

* Background of Diamonds

The first videotaped diamond dates back around 800 B.C. in India. Some believe it even dated back 6,000 years ago. The diamonds were made use of as attractive objectives as well as as amulets to ward off bad and supply defense in battle. Throughout the Dark Ages, diamonds were even stated to be utilized as a medical aid. Spiritual physicians even informed clients that if they hold a ruby in a hand and also make the sign of the cross would, it would certainly cure as well as illness and recover wounds.

Rubies became more preferred throughout the 19th century due to exploration of ruby deposits in South Africa. This discovery brings about boosted supply, enhanced cutting and brightening techniques, and also development in economic situation. In 1979, rock hounds found the Argyle pipeline in Australia which to this day is the wealthiest ruby deposit in the world. Argyle, since then, alone is in charge of providing over one third of the globe's diamonds annually.

* Diamonds: Just how are they developed?

Diamonds includes an allotrope of carbons that are formed in high-pressure, high-temperature problems. Diamonds are generated 90 miles under the Earth's surface at temperature levels of regarding 2200 degrees Fahrenheit. Diamonds are formed deep within the planet and ultimately, over incredibly extended periods of time, press their means to the planet's surface, typically with volcanic eruptions.

The age of these diamonds from below the surface area of the earth are from 1 to 3.3 billion years old! When diamonds are created as well as begin their climb to the planet's surface area, they undergo networks where the lava from the volcano climbs to the surface area, grabbing diamonds along the way and also eventually transferring them externally, where they are eventually discovered as well as mined.

* The 4 C's of Diamonds

There are 4 unique features that establish the value and also top quality of a ruby. These are the shade, cut, clarity and carat. Otherwise called the 4 C's of a diamond. In the following, we will talk regarding these functions thoroughly.

* Color

In the last newsletter, we touch based on the color of gems as being the most essential feature because of that shade is one of the most noticeable attribute. The perfect diamond needs to appear clear and anemic but this is not the case for all rubies. Diamonds can be available in any kind of shade of the rainbow most typical color is a shade of yellow or brown. The Geological Institute of The U.S.A.(GIA) have devised a guideline to quality ruby shade. This guideline consists of a lettering system that varies from the alphabet D - Z. Please see listed below:

D E F No Color G H I J Virtually Colorless K L M Faintly tinted, can't barely be seen and usually yellow in shade N O P Q R Lightly tinted, usually yellow. Can be seen with the naked eye S T U V W X Y Z Tinted, begins from yellow and also advances to brown

* Clarity

The cut a ruby is figured out by the ruby's proportion such as its form, size and deepness. The cut identifies just what is called the ruby's "radiance". Even if the diamond itself has ideal color as well as clearness, with a bad cut the ruby will certainly have a dull luster. This is since the cut establishes how light journeys within the ruby. The Gemological Institute of The U.S.A. has also developed a quality grading system to rank diamond clarity. This grading system consists of Remarkable (Fl), Internally Perfect (IF), Really Really Slightly Consisted Of (VV1 or VV2), Really Somewhat Consisted Of(VS1 or VS2), Somewhat Included(SI1 or SI2), as well as Included(I1, I2, and I3). Although this system had been added to the ruby sector, it is not extensively used. This results from the reality that it took a great deal of technique and training to incorporate it.

* Cut

The cut a diamond is established by the ruby's proportion such as its shape, width and deepness. The cut determines what is called the ruby's "brilliance". Even if the ruby itself has ideal color and clarity, with a poor cut the diamond will have a boring luster. This is since the cut identifies just how light journeys within the diamond.

There are 3 kinds of cuts that could figure out the ruby's radiance. These are a shallow cut, a cut that is unfathomable as well as suitable cut. A superficial cut is a cut of a ruby that is too low, that light taking a trip via it is shed on the base of the stone and also does not return right into sight. This cut makes a ruby show up drab and plain. A cut that is too deep is a cut that is also high, that light taking a trip through it escapes with the sides as well as dims the rock. A suitable cut is a best cut on a diamond that shows light to the top of the stone, providing it best brilliance.

* Carat

As mentioned on the last e-newsletter, a solitary carat(ct) considers regarding 200 milligrams or.2 grams. For smaller sized carat diamonds that consider less compared to a carat weight, it is expressed as factors (pt). Factors are 1/100 of a carat. Carat weight of a diamond is necessary because of that larger rubies are rarer than smaller sized ones, so generally the bigger the diamond the much more costly it is. There is no basic grading system or representation that could reveal various carat weight. This is because there are numerous variants of rubies in shape as well as cut, that makes stones of similar weight, look different.

* Imitation Diamonds

Considering that rubies are one of the most useful as well as rarest of all the gemstones, initiatives have been made to replicate and even boost diamonds using cheaper choices. A lot of times, straightforward errors have been made as well as these options or other gemstones such as spinel were occasionally perplexed with genuine rubies. Sometimes, some dishonest individuals aim to market these alternatives to misfortunate customers in order to revenue. Listed below we will certainly review about these alternatives and ways to identify them.

* Synthetic Diamonds

Artificial rubies are rubies that are grown manufactured in a research laboratory. The initial known cases of ruby synthesis were claimed to be documented between 1879 - 1928, yet this was never validated. It had not been till the 1940's where research began in the United States, Sweden, Soviet Union began researching. Artificial diamonds are otherwise referred to as High Pressure Heat (HPHT) diamonds or Chemical Vapor Down Payment (CVD) diamonds. The name of both these artificial diamonds stems from the procedures used to create them. Several of these synthetic rubies might either have better, lesser or similar attributes compared to that of a ruby. As a result, these artificial diamonds are made use of for abrasives, reducing and brightening tools, and switches in power plant.

* Simulants

Simulants are non-diamond materials that are utilized to reproduce the look or even the shape of a diamond. The most fundamental and also well recognized simulant is cubic zirconia (CZ). CZ at simple sight could shimmer more than a diamond and likewise it is much less dense, meaning that a 1 carat weight CZ will be a lot bigger compared to a 1 carat diamond. Nowadays, a much more prominent simulant is moissanite, which has all the same qualities of a ruby. These qualities include hardness (Moissanite-9.25 and diamond-10 in Mohs scale), refractive index(Moissanite -2.65 and diamond -2.42) as well as diffusion (Moissanite -.104 and ruby -.044). This makes it difficult to distinguish the two at plain view and also would often call for testers to discriminate. In the following area we will certainly talk about the best ways to identify moissanites as well as various other replicas.

* Actual or Fake?

An old approach of identifying diamonds is to do a scratch examination. This requires scratching a diamond with one more diamond which is harmful and is hardly ever used nowadays. The best and also most trusted way to examine for diamonds is to utilize testers that make use of thermal conductivity. These testers contain battery powered thermistors mounted with a retracting copper pointer. This tester functions by injecting the heat onto the evaluated rock and after that the gadget gauges the amount of warmth that it conducts. Nonetheless thermal conductivity testers works best to identify rubies and also its various other simulants, it will not aid differentiate laboratory produced or synthetic rocks. To be able to determine these, particular optical strategies are required. Laboratories make use of methods such as spectroscopy, microscopy and luminescence in order to determine a particular rocks beginning. The ordinary individual can use loupes and also microscopes to identify synthetic rocks. Natural diamonds generally have small blemishes as well as defects such as additions or some type of foreign material, which will certainly not be discovered in synthetics.

Ringgold How to Buy a Diamond And The 4 Biggest Mistakes When Buying a Diamond

Rubies are naturally readily available in a really wide variety of colors. The majority of people understand about anemic diamonds as well as GIA's color grading system that is made use of to identify a diamond's body shade ... you understand D, E, F, etc. This shade grading system is just made use of to categorize one of the most common diamond body shade of yellow nevertheless anytime a ruby is found in an additional color like pink, blue, environment-friendly, etc.; after that this ruby is referred to as a "" expensive diamond"".

Natural Fancy rubies can be extremely pricey and also sometimes a lot more costly compared to a similar size anemic diamond. A very good example of a Fancy diamond is the notorious 45.52 carat weight fancy deep blue ruby, the Hope Diamond, which is on display screen in the Smithsonian Natural Background Museum in Washington, DC.

A color boosted diamond is a 100% all-natural diamond that has had its shade transformed. And also best of all, shade improved diamonds can be found in a very large selection of colors at extremely budget-friendly costs!

A little bit of history- For lots of, many years it has been well understood that a diamond's shade might be "" enhanced"" by placing a little bit of tinted material externally of a diamond and also just like magic ... a ruby that had an obvious yellowish shade would alter to a much more attractive near colorless ruby. Unfortunately, this kind of color boosted ruby could change back to its initial body shade if this colored compound was inadvertently eliminated. In more current years, the modern technology of color improved rubies has gone exceptionally high tech. It is currently feasible to completely transform the shade of a ruby! These procedures are thought about irreversible due to the fact that it does continue to be stable when subjected to daily typical problems. The color will certainly not fade if subjected to sunlight or be washed off by extreme chemicals.

How is it done? The desired result of any one of these treatments is to have a more marketable ruby. A less marketable ruby would certainly be a diamond that has a low body shade or in some cases a lower clearness. The color boosted ruby therapy companies know if they start with a certain type of diamond and also procedure it for a specific quantity of time that they should wind up with a certain color but it does not always work in this way. This is a science that does need some art in their procedures ... the only process that gives regular results is the layer process.

The three processes are as follows- Refine # 1- HPHT Shade Improved Diamonds- High Pressure/ Heat (HPHT) treatment can improve the shade of specific sorts of brownish rubies and thus raise their value. General Electric has actually developed a procedure that basically is a mechanical simulation of a diamond's production in nature. The color enhanced ruby will certainly be warmed up to an extremely heat under a very high, stabilized stress. Mistakes in the crystal structure are after that rearranged resulting in a change of the diamond's shade. Because the conditions of HPHT are really just like ruby's initial development, just a well outfitted lab will be able to positively identify this sort of shade enhanced ruby. HPHT wased initially used to transform yellow-colored diamonds into even more valuable fancy colored boosted rubies, now it is also used to transform some out of favor brownish diamonds into preferred anemic colored boosted rubies.

Process # 2- Irradiated Shade Improved Diamonds- OK ... do not begin obtaining all thrilled because you saw the word irradiated! This is a 100% risk-free procedure that is extremely just like exactly what is used to protect food by revealing it to a stream of Gamma rays. The shade enhanced ruby procedure is carried out in numerous different methods yet the outcomes are just the same. You start with a low color (P, Q, R, etc.) 100% all-natural diamond that has actually already been cut as well as polished, after that it is exposed to a stream of fast electrons. During this component of the procedure the diamond will certainly resort to a really dark color since some of the atoms in the diamond's crystal framework have currently been disjointed and also this in turn has actually affected the way light travel through the diamond. Next the diamond undergoes a regulated heating (annealing) process, this enables some of those atoms to transfer (partly fixed) in order to obtain a wanted color.

Refine # 3- Coated Color Improved Diamonds- The finish on polished rubies refers to a thin synthetic layer that changes the shade of the diamond. The finishing can either be of the desired shade or could create a colored interference-effect. Regrettably occasionally this process is done to trick a purchaser. It is a fairly simple procedure to execute, it has actually been around for years (although the coatings materials are a lot better now), and it does not require a great deal of expensive advanced tools. Recently, I've seen some pink covered diamonds on the market, they are extremely eye-catching ... and also certainly you would need to buy them understanding that they have actually been coated as well as follow your jeweler's standards regarding possessing and looking after these color boosted diamonds. The finish could be related to the entire of a diamond's surface, just the bottom of the diamond, or to a narrow area near the girdle. A well-applied covering can change the color by one or even more shade quality. Some finishings could be removed via boiling in acid, solid cleaning options, or perhaps family chemicals. In some cases dots or larger areas of purple or blue ink are painted on the diamond in order to help counteract a yellow-colored color. The ruby's setup will usually cover the dots, so they are hard to see in a mounted stone.

So, is a shade improved ruby right for you? Possibly ... natural elegant color rubies could be attractive yet they are expensive! Color boosted rubies are budget-friendly and also permit lots of people to have a brightly colored ruby. Ask your neighborhood jeweler if they have any type of Fancy rubies ... either all-natural or color boosted diamonds. It is constantly interesting, as well as fun, to look at something different!

Under normal wear the irradiated and also HPHT shade improved rubies will have not a problem of the shade fading away. The only factor to consider will certainly be when you should have any type of kind of solution done on the item of precious jewelry. If this kind of color boosted ruby is exposed to excessive amounts of heat it may affect the shade. Purchasing Diamonds Online - Is This Online Jewelry Expert Right For You?

Ringgold

In an ideal world with unlimited budgets and an infinite supply of diamonds, everyone would have beautifully cut "D Flawless" diamonds. In the real world every diamond is unique. There are plenty of gorgeous diamonds to go around - you just need to know how to find one. Choosing a diamond is about balancing several factors to make the most of your budget. Each factor contributes to the beauty and prestige of your diamond. I will explain these factors so you will be prepared to make an informed decision about your diamond purchase.

FACTOR 1: CARAT WEIGHT

People often use the word Carat when discussing how big a diamond is, however "Carat" actually refers to the weight of a diamond. There is no rule as to what carat weight you should buy, but you'll doubtless have heard that "bigger is better." If you ask me, I think bigger is great but you shouldn't forget about the other aspects of a diamond's quality.

A useful tip: if you're looking at Certified Diamonds, you may find it valuable to compare the diameters of different diamonds. Since every diamond is individually cut, some may appear larger than others of the same weight.

FACTOR 2: SHAPE

Approximately 75% of diamonds sold worldwide are Round Brilliants. Rounds diamonds are the most popular, most brilliant, and most expensive. If you are purchasing a diamond as a surprise, Round Brilliant is generally your safest bet.

There is no real hierarchy of shapes being better or worse - it is truly a matter of personal preference. Princess Cuts are the second most popular, and a classic alternative to round diamonds. Cushion Cuts are trendy and have a beautiful vintage look. If you want something different but not too crazy, try an Oval Cut, Asscher Cut, or Radiant Cut diamond.

While no shape is better, there are some significant differences between shapes. Take for example, the radiant cut vs the emerald cut. Though they are a similar shape, the extra facets of the radiant cut give it additional fire and sparkle. If you prefer the emerald cut's understated elegance, consider that it's easier to spot any imperfections and select a higher clarity grade.

Another tip: Diamonds (even round diamonds) may not be perfectly symmetrical. It's nothing to worry about if your diamond's width does not precisely match its height, but if your diamond is much longer than it is wide it may not be what you're expecting. This is especially the case in shapes like Cushion and Oval, where a more asymmetrical diamond might look "skinny", with much of the fire and brilliance concentrated at the ends.

FACTOR 3: CUT

"Cut" refers to a diamond's finish and proportions, and is critical in determining its beauty. Getting the angles right ensures a beautiful diamond that's full of life. In many cases it can be more difficult to spot flaws in a fiery, brilliant diamond. Cut is generally graded in five categories: Poor, Fair, Good, Very Good, and Excellent. Excellent is the highest graded awarded by GIA (whereas other labs may use terms like "ideal" or numbers like "0"). If you want to play safe, stick to "Very Good" and "Excellent" cuts when you choose your diamond.

FACTOR 4: CLARITY

Almost all diamonds have naturally¬ occurring features called "inclusions." Inclusions form as the diamond crystallizes deep underground, and they are unique to each diamond. They take many different forms, and can help you identify a diamond as your own. However, large and prominent inclusions can detract from the beauty of a diamond.

There are many different types of inclusions, and not all are created equal. If your diamond certificate has an "inclusion map," check where the inclusions are. Try to find a diamond with inclusions near the edge where they will be masked by sparkle or hidden by the setting of your diamond. If your budget is limited, I recommend buying "SI" clarity or better. "SI" stands for "Slightly Included." With close inspection you can usually spot the inclusions in an SI¬ graded diamond, but these inclusions will most likely not be visible once your diamond is set in jewellery. If you want to be sure your diamond will look "eye clean", even up close, I recommend selecting a VS2 clarity diamond or better. "VS" stands for "Very Slight Inclusion," and imperfections in VS clarity stones are rarely seen by the naked eye.

FACTOR 5: COLOUR

The term "colour" usually refers to how much warm tint is in a diamond. The scale ranges from D (colorless) to Z (very strongly tinted yellow or brown). Pure white diamonds are considered more desirable, and are more expensive. Warmer¬-hued diamonds (such as K, L, and M) are not necessarily less attractive, but they are significantly less valuable.

Conventional wisdom is to select J colour or better. Personally, I love G and H colour diamonds ¬- they hit the "sweet spot" where most people will not notice colour in the diamond unless they're doing a direct comparison. However, an I or J colour diamond that is well cut and has a lot of life can give you a beautiful diamond at a bargain price.

Depending on how they are cut, different diamonds will display colour differently. This is why colour grades are assigned by looking at a diamond upside¬down. Generally, more¬ brilliant diamonds show their colour less than less brilliant diamonds.

FACTOR 6: FLUORESCENCE

Fluorescence has a bad rep, and most of it is unfair. Diamond Fluorescence refers to how a diamond responds when subjected to ultra¬violet light. Fluorescent diamonds can glow any one of several colours, but the most common is blue. In rare cases fluorescence can cause your diamond to have a milky appearance when viewed in direct daylight. This is most often the case with strong or very strong fluorescence and D/E/F colour diamonds.

However, there are many, many more cases where blue fluorescence is a positive thing. Imagine you were shining a blue light on a yellow diamond... the blue tint can make your diamond look whiter. If your diamond falls in the "near colourless," "lightly tinted," or "tinted" range I recommend looking for medium blue or faint blue fluorescence.

Warning: Green, red, and yellow fluorescence are rare, and they will not have the same benefit. If you are interested in a diamond that has strong blue, very strong blue, green, red, or yellow fluorescence, I recommend asking your salesperson to show you your diamond outside in natural daylight. If you're buying online, contact the seller prior to making your purchase so they can examine the diamond first in natural daylight.

FACTOR 7: GRADER

This should always be your first question: Says who? Every diamond grading laboratory has different standards, so comparing diamonds graded by different sources is extremely unreliable. One grader might grade a diamond K SI2, and another might call that same diamond F VS2. I know that sounds crazy, but I see it happen all the time.

The most reputable and consistent grading laboratories are GIA, AGS, IGI, and HRD. GIA is considered the global standard worldwide. AGS is a popular alternative in the U.S.A. while IGI and HRD are more common in Europe.

EGL is tricky because there are EGL labs all over the world, and some of them do a great job while others can be less reliable. We strongly recommend caution when buying an EGL certified diamond unless it's from EGL-¬USA.

Many diamonds are assigned grades by valuation companies and in-¬house graders. If your diamond does not come with a report from a major laboratory, you should always ask where the grader trained. He or she should be certified by a major grading laboratory: GIA, AGS, IGI, or HRD. Be smart and be cautious about reports done by uncertified shop owners, salespeople, or valuation companies.

SELECTING YOUR DIAMOND

You can choose to purchase your diamond online, or from a retail store. If you prefer to purchase your diamond in a retail store, avoid the big chains and shop with smaller independent jewellers. Many independent jewellers are actually significantly less expensive than their large competitors. (You don't have to take my word for it - shop around and you'll quickly learn that this is true). This way you'll buy a better quality diamond and - if you wish - you'll have the opportunity to design your own hand-made engagement ring setting.

If you choose to shop online, I would recommend comparing prices and service across several websites. Be sure that the company ships from your country - otherwise you'll be hit with expensive duty and GST. Always make sure you call or e-mail customer service and have them hand-inspect your diamond before you complete your purchase. Sometimes a diamond may seem like a great deal, but it could have an unfortunate inclusion, asymmetrical cut, or be negatively impacted by fluoresence. And above all, make sure you have an easy and affordable way to return the diamond if it doesn't turn out as you'd hoped. Online shopping is the best way to get a great deal on a diamond for your engagement ring, diamond studs, or pendant - just review this article, be reasonably cautious, and have fun.

5 Tips on What To Look For When Buying Diamonds For Wedding Rings

A wedding, or an engagement in  Ringgold, is one of the most important events in every couple’s life. One of the best ways of making the experience memorable is by choosing the right ring to symbolize the love you have for one another. While most couples would like to get the most beautiful ring they can lay their hands on, budgetary restrictions can be a challenge. However, it is possible to find an ideal ring based on your budget.

For anyone looking for precious diamonds for engagement rings and wedding rings in Ringgold, they should consider going about the process carefully. There are various dealers in the market, some of who may sell you fake diamonds. Here are a few useful tips on what to look for when looking for precious diamonds for engagement or wedding rings.

Consider the Diamond Cut

1. Any expert will tell you that the cut is the most important thing to consider when buying diamonds in Ringgold. The main reason behind this is that the cut usually influences the sparkle. A diamond may be clear and feature a high quality color grade, but if the cut is poor, it may still appear dull. The dealer you buy from should be able to cut your diamond in the proper proportions. If your budget can allow it, choose a diamond with the highest cut grade.

Diamond Color

2.  Contrary to common belief, lack of color in your diamonds denotes a higher color grade. Some people go for pale yellow diamond, without knowing that it is low quality. To avoid such an experience, ask the diamond dealer to give you grade H or higher. Near colorless diamond ranges from grade G to J, but it may be quite expensive.

Clarity Diamonds can also be chosen based on their clarity levels.

3. This is usually not a very important factor to consider, considering that the precious stones usually come with imperfections, known as inclusions. These tiny imperfections may not be easy to detect, and they may only be seen through a microscope. However, the fewer there are, the higher the clarity grade of your diamonds. If your budget can be stretched further, consider buying grade VS1 grade or higher.

Consider the Diamond’s Carat Weight

4.  Unlike common belief, carat does not mean the size of the diamond, but its actual weight. Carat and cut must be considered side by side, because no matter the size of the diamond, a poor cut grade can make your precious stones look smaller. Another important fact to keep in mind is that the more the weight of the diamond, the more you will pay for it. Therefore, you should consider going for a less heavy stone with a high grade cut.

Ask for Proof of Certification

5. There is nothing as unfortunate as buying diamonds for your special event only to realize that they are of poor quality, or that they were stolen. To avoid such an eventuality, always ask the dealer in Ringgold to show you the copy of diamond certification.

With these tips, you should be able to make the right choice when buying precious diamonds in Ringgold for you engagement or wedding.
